RWDC Industries: Tackling Global Plastic Waste Through Strategic Capital and Client Partnerships
RWDC has developed and commercialised Solon, a biodegradable alternative to disposable, petroleum-derived plastic, to reduce the impact of plastic waste.
RWDC has developed Solon, a polyhydroxyalkanoate (PHA)- based, environmentally friendly alternative to traditional petroleum-derived single-use plastics. It is produced by fermenting a range of feedstocks and biodegrades safely into carbon dioxide and water in all end-of-life situations. Bolstered by winning Temasek Foundation's The Liveability Challenge in 2018 and investments by Vickers Ventures Partners and Temasek, RWDC has strategically sought partnerships to accelerate product maturity and production capacity. With partners such as Kimberly-Clark and Cove, RWDC is committed to reducing plastic waste at scale as it expands globally.
