CIIP participated in the Global Asia Insurance Partnership (GAIP) Summit 2025, which aims to translate dialogue into action. The summit convened insurers, policymakers, developmental banks and international organisations from across the region. Participants engaged in targeted discussions and collaborative sessions to build practical partnerships and explore innovative financing options. 

CIIP’s CEO, Dawn Chan, spoke on the panel “Innovative Financing Solutions for Closing Protection, Gaps”, where she shared perspectives on how impact investing and philanthropy can help address protection gaps across Asia. Alongside Mohit Mahotra (Aon), Butch Bacani (UNEP FI), Diana Guzman (Prudential plc), and Ritesh Thakkar (Convergence), the panel discussed how insurers can participate in and support innovative financing instruments such as blended finance and loan guarantees. The panel also highlighted the importance of involving insurers early and ensuring they are part of collaborations from the beginning.
