For Akhil Khurana, no two days at the Centre for Impact Investing and Practices (CIIP) look the same.

One week, he might be on the island of Sulawesi, Indonesia, learning firsthand from entrepreneurs and smallholder farmers about the realities of agricultural small and medium enterprises (SMEs).

The next week, he could be bringing these insights into conversations with public and private sector players, contributing perspectives from across ASEAN and helping to channel capital towards solutions that reach underserved communities.

“This dynamism is what makes the work so energising, and continues to remind me why I joined CIIP in the first place,” says Akhil.

Established by Temasek Trust in 2022, CIIP’s work contributes to the Temasek Trust ecosystem’s wider efforts to strengthen the impact investing landscape in Asia by advancing knowledge, building capabilities, and supporting the adoption of impact-driven practices across the sector.
